Did you know that about 10 percent of women (6.1 million) in the United States ages 15-44 have difficulty getting pregnant or staying pregnant, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)?

What is HypnoFertility?

  • HypnoFertility is a hypnosis program dedicated to supporting the fertility journey.  The journey to motherhood can be stressful and fraught with emotions that can actually hinder you from getting that coveted positive pregnancy test.
  • Hypnosis for fertility harnesses the mind-body connection.  For every thought we have there, is a physiological response in our body.  Sometimes these responses are very obvious: blushing, shivering, salivating, sexual arousal, goose pimples etc.  But did you know that what we think and feel could have an impact on how we cope during the process of trying to conceive, our ability to manage stress and potentially our fertility?
  • How might negative thoughts like: ‘I can’t get pregnant’ or ‘My body doesn’t work’ affect our bodies?
  • Alternatively, how might our bodies respond to thoughts like: ‘I am ready to conceive and nurture a baby’ or ‘I am fertile’?
  • The HypnoFertility method teaches you to use the mind-body connection to project positive images and potential for the future.

4 Reasons why you should use hypnosis to optimize fertility:

  • Experts from around the globe are proving the effectiveness of hypnosis to support fertility.  A recent study from Soroka University Israel showed that the success rate of IVF treatments doubled in a test group from 14% to 28% when the subjects underwent hypnosis during implantation.
  • Hypnosis gives you tools to support you being an active participant in your fertility journey.
  • Hypnosis can be used during any route to conception, whether you are going through IVF, other medical procedures or trying to conceive naturally.
  • Hypnosis is relaxing, re-energizing, and it feels really good!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does hypnosis feel like?

The experience of being in hypnosis will feel comfortable and vaguely familiar to countless other moments in your life where you were lost in thought, consumed with bliss, or perhaps simply meditating.  Nothing weird or scary, we promise.

Can I really be hypnotized?

Yes!  All it takes is desire, paired with enough concentration to follow simple instructions. The good news is that if your goal is to conceive, the desire is strong!

Is there scientific evidence to show hypnosis improves fertility?

According to an Israeli study conducted by Professor Eliahu Levitas and presented to the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology conference in Berlin in July of 2004, hypnosis can double the success of IVF treatments. The study of 185 women found that 28% of the women who were hypnotized for the IVF treatment became pregnant, compared to 14% of the women in the control group.

Will I unwillingly reveal confidential information?

Absolutely not.  You are in complete control of what you chose to reveal or conceal.

Will I be asleep or unconscious during hypnosis?

Hypnosis is neither sleep nor unconsciousness, even though a common misconception is that you are asleep when hypnotized. The experience of being in hypnosis might resemble sleep from the physical point of view: slowed breathing, eyes closed, muscles relaxed, activity decreased.  From the mental standpoint, the client is generally relaxed but also hyperaware, in a comfortable state where the person can think, talk, and even move if needed.  It’s important to note that all clients are unique and can experience hypnosis in their own unique ways.

Will I remember my hypnosis session?

Everyone experiences hypnosis differently.  For some it’s a state in which you are intently focused on the hypnotists words and listening more carefully, for others it’s a little more like day-dreaming and your attention may drift and wander from one thought to another…sometimes not paying any conscious attention to what the hypnotist is saying.  Either way is totally fine and neither will be more or less effective than the other.
